Binance is donating $10 million to support Ukraine's humanitarian crisis.

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced through its CEO, Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ, that it will be donating $10 million to help Ukrainians affected by the ongoing crisis.

Binance is donating USD 10 million to major IOs and local NGOs in response to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has affected hundreds of thousands of people.

He announced this on Twitter today, February 27th, after saying yesterday that their teams had been working constantly on several charity activities.

"Our teams have been working on multiple charity efforts nonstop. Money/crypto/fees are not the key issues. Logistics on the ground, food, fuel, supplies are. for refugees, places to stay, visas, etc. Stay tuned. Binance is apolitical, we just care about the people," CZ says.

He added the crypto-first crowdfunding Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund was formed by Binance Charity while announcing the ten million dollar donations.

Binance Charity is a division of Binance that aims to transfer philanthropy by creating a fully transparent donation platform based on blockchain to create a future where technology innovation is used to eradicate all forms of poverty and inequality, advance sustainable development, and ensure that no one is left behind.

According to the CEO, their focus is on providing on-the-ground support and they just care about the people.

According to reports, the crisis has hurt the well-being of the country's residents, with over 120,000 people fleeing to neighboring nations.

This idea on the ground is to help offer emergency relief to refugees and children by supporting logistics such as food, gas, and supplies for refugees in countries bordering Ukraine and elsewhere.

Those who wish to help the people of Ukraine can do so by visiting the Binance Charity official website. At the time of publication, 153.45 BTC ($5,993,375.06) has been donated by some individuals and organizations.

In fact, some donors donated as little as 0.001BNB ($0.37), $0.0054BNB ($2), and 0.01BNB ($3.72), respectively; which shows that nothing is too small to give.

3. Choose the type of crypto and the amount you wish to donate. BNB, BUSD, ETH, and BTC are the ones available at the time of writing

4. Fill up a simple form with some details about your donation

4. Tap on continue and pass the captcha

5. You will be provided with a public address to send the crypto to. You can also choose your preferred blockchain network.

6. After making the payment, copy your transaction ID (TxID) and enter it into the space provided for the donation transaction ID.

Once your donation is confirmed, your crypto will be added and your name will be published with the list of donors (If you tick to display your name on the donation page in step 4).
