Chivopets is the world's first bitcoin-powered veterinarian hospital, based in San Salvador, El Salvador's capital city

This is one of the initiatives implemented by the country's current president, Nayib Bukele, to promote and provide proper protection and services to animals, particularly pets.

The construction began in November 2021, was inaugurated by the president of the country on February 23rd, and began operations today, February 26th, 2022.

The country's bitcoin profits were used to fund the construction of this hospital.

"Chivopets is the first-ever Bitcoin fully funded animal hospital. Every treatment will cost only $0.25, paid in BTC, with any wallet," Nayim Bukele noted.

Owners will be charged $0.25 for their pet's treatment at the veterinarian hospital.

This is a tremendous accomplishment in terms of providing veterinary medicine at such a low cost.

This transaction will be carried out using the Chivo Wallet app or other cryptocurrency wallets that are compatible.

Pets have a vital role in human life, and caring for one can help children grow up to be more secure and active. Pets are also a great source of companionship for older adults.
